Whee! My one real vacation a year has come and gone *sighs* but dear gods despite room drama I had a lot of fun. Oh gods, never try to cram 15 people into one hotel room, even if it is a suite. And if I ever get the chess match cast in my room again, we definitely need to work out the room situtation better. I felt bad for them, cause Link, Ryoga and Mario (my big brother) ended up in the living room half of the suite and completely cramped and having like no time to wander around the con and actually have fun. Which is sad even though the dealer room really wasn't anything special this year. Which was -so- not cool and there was loli bait in the hotel everywhere! Stupid chibis... but I suppose that's what we get for snagging the Embassy connected to the con center. Granted the normies were a lot worse this year than last and to top it off it took us two hours to get out because we got skipped for the trolleys and then we had to carry everything down and when one cosplays....there's a lot of stuff to carry!
The chess match was so awesome this year! The fights were great and as cool as Cervantes was, I was kinda glad he got taken out, mostly cause he was being a total butt munch. But oh man they kept us guessing and even though the lot of us were like 9 rows away you could hardly hear a thing which is sad cause Chun-Li (a friend from middle school) was saying there was a -ton- of dialogue that we missed so hopefully nii-san'll let us watch his copy when he gets it. Cause I wanna catch what we missed.
The masquerade wasn't too bad either for that matter. I couldn't move really well as the threads that held the little riffles in the skirt (it's a blue replica of the Belle dress, I was supposed to be Xaldin but it didn't quite work out as planned, something I'm mildly annoyed with) snapped and so I had to hold my skirts all night. But it was still a lot of fun and not nearly the couple event that it normally was. Lots of fun and fun music. I can't wait to get the pics developed and once I do that I'll end up posting them.
